Helen Walsh's The Lemon Grove is a fiction novel knitting the illicit relationship between a woman in her forties and the boyfriend of her step-daughter. The book is an alluring pasteurisation of human emotions, desires, freedom and chase for youth. The author has put the romance in a way that brings a spark out of the illicit love affair presented in the story.
Jenn and Greg has been happily married and living on the island of southeast coast of Spain. They love taking days off to spend holidays together. This time their much awaited holiday with romantic dinners, sea-shores and rocks is interfered by Jenn's step-daughter Emma and her boyfriend Nathan. Nathan, unlike the naive youngsters, is a ripe, lustrous and youthful man, who successfully catches the womanly attention of Jenn. Jenn starts feeling the thirst to live with Nathan, despite her love for her husband Greg. She doesn't want to be released of her marriage with Greg but she isn't able to stop her heart from being diverted towards Nathan.
While the couples have to spend some days together at one place, it's unlikely to not see certain closeness taking place. This surely is going to complicate the relationships, leaving everyone to an unforeseen confusion. Tinder Press published The Lemon Grove in 2014 in paperback.
